Performance Equestrian and Therapy Riding Academy is a private, veteran-owned riding academy in Northern Virginia. Located at Winding Creek Farm in Fairfax Station, PETRA riders can access miles of trails for leisure riding, and then return to the farm to practice in indoor and outdoor arenas for horsemanship and therapy instruction. PETRA owners are:

• experienced, lifelong equestrian instructors with many years of combined experience competing, teaching, and training within the riding arena;

• certified therapeutic and adaptive riding instructors trained to the highest standards of PATH Int'l and Certified Horsemanship Association

• career veterans who served a combined 34 years as active-duty officers in the United States military;

• local residents of Northern Virginia who want to provide the opportunity to ride and lesson right in your backyard
